Tonight we worked to correct a problem in the way that the website was being rendered to browsers like Safari and Firefox.  Although the site rendered correctly using Internet Explorer, the site was unreadable and unusable from other browser platforms.

The problem has since been corrected and all browser platforms should be able to properly render the contents of the site.

We've been working hard on our latest release for Weathernerd.com.  The site again has a new look and feel with simplified functionality.

In Fall 2007, we released a design that offered additional data points around airport delays and other graphical representations.  The process to update this data on the website was completely automated and required little maintenance.  It was a good fit, but took away from the general idea of weather and weather data in your neighborhood.

We will continue to offer public forecasts for any zip code in the state of Minnesota, but we have trimmed back some of the functionality to focus on the weather data itself.

The new main site and the new blog share the same overall site design and navigation.  This will make it easier to get around and connect between the two sites.  We hope it helps to improve the overall usability.
